I hope it doesn’t get boring – and everybody could have predicted this non-shut-down of Las Vegas.
How can you shut-down ‘gambling’ while the Mafia is in control?
And somebody called the whole deal a ‘bluff’ this morning – and Paul my man in Sin City. Why don’t you start writing a little bit more about ‘bluffing’ and ‘gambling’? Isn’t that the essence of ‘Vegas’ and at the same time you could transform the problem into something more ‘sublime’ and present it in a broader context. Like… like… each time you write about ‘Vegas’ – you actually write about America – and her problem with ’gambling’ and the ‘service’ industry’ like some dude fed and bailed out by Chinas ‘money-tits’? (I added that to make it sound more ‘authentic) And you could put all these funny hints between the lines nobody would understand – OR you could turn your whole Las Vegas experience into one of this deep and mysterious riddles, where strippers stand for characters in Tarantino comedies and our duty IS to decipher all her -or his higher meaning.
And you see – I feel real methaphysical tonight —
Always – after I have dinner with my banker at the Kronenhalle – and I hardly can tell you how great it feels to dine with a boring Swiss in an outrageaus expensive and at the same time awesome ‘modest’ place! Because – you know ‘modesty’ and ‘austerity’ is ‘the’ thing right now (especially if it is very expensive) – and I’m a bit ticked off, that you had the nerve to check into some ‘Imperial Palace’! Couldn’t you have picked some ‘Venetian’ dump instead?
My American writing slaves –(who I never pay) – will suspect that I spent it all on some fancy ‘Brit’! And we never will get out of this slump if we don’t start ‘saving’ (whatever!)
